Oracle DAC Installation 10.1.3.4.1

This article shows how to install Oracle Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Administration Console (Oracle DAC) - version 10.1.3.4 on Windows. During this installation both Oracle DAC Server and Oracle DAC Client are installed.

First of all you have to download the software from Oracle site and unzip it. You will have a directory named "dac". Go to the "Disk1\install\win32" folder (if you use a 64-bit version go to the "Disk1\install\win64" folder). He re you will see a file named setup.exe. Double click on it.

A warning message might appear :

Oracle DAC Installation: Security Warning

Click on "Run" as the Publisher is known. The following screen will appear:

Click on Next.

Oracle DAC Installation: Specify Installation Location

Choose the Oracle Home Location and click on Next. This is the default location but you can choose another one.

Oracle DAC Installation: Install Components

Click on "Next". As you can see the DAC Server and the DAC client will be installed in the same time.

Oracle DAC Installation: Select Informatica Version

Choose the Informatica version you have already installed and after that click on "Next". Here is an article showing how Informatica 8.x can be installed. In my case I have installed Informatica 8.x.

Oracle DAC Installation: Prerequisite Checks

If all the prerequisites are ok, click on "Next". The following screen will appear:

Here you will see the summary of what is preparing to install. Before installing the Oracle DAC server, click on "Save" button to save the configuration to keep it.

At this point, the Oracle DAC server is installed. You have just to click on "Finish" and use the Oracle DAC.
