OBIEE 11.1.1.6.5 and J Developer Integration on Linux 64 Bit

In this post we will see how integrate  OBIEE 11G  and J Developer.

J Developer Installation : 

1) Download the software from  the following link

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/downloads/index.html



2) You will get a file called  "JdevStudio11116install.bin" file as  shown below

3)  Folllow the steps as below to install  Jdeveloper.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once You are done with installation open a  new terminal and cd to the followiing

/u01/app/oracle/OBIEE11g/jdeveloper/jdev/bin  ( This one depends upon your Installation folder).

 

 

J Developer will open as shown below

 

Before instalalting the updates

 

Got to the following page

 

http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/131167.xml 

 

and download the

 

Oracle BI EE extensions ( Extensions starting with Business Intelligence). Make sure you download the extensions of exact version  as your OBIEE 11G

 

 

 



 

Go to the Help > Check for updates as shown below

 

 

 Click Next

 

 

Select " Oracle Fusion Middleware produicts and clcik next .

 



 In the next screen you will see  " WebCenter Customization Framework Design Time"

Select that one  and install.

Once done

Installing BI Extensions : 

To install BI Extensions repeat the above steps and insted of " Search update Centers" Now we will choose install from Local File and Browse to the location on our desktop where we have  downloaded the extensions as shown below.

Install  all the 4 extensions in the same way.

 That's it done with J Developer Instalaltion.
